About Texas Coastal CattleWomen
Texas Coastal CattleWomen, Inc. (TCCW), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization covering 12 Gulf Coast counties, is affiliated with Texas CattleWomen, Inc. (TCW-state) and American National CattleWomen (ANCW-national).
Our local organization welcomes members from any county in Texas to work with us in the serving of the following counties: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Waller, Walker and Wharton.
We share friendships and have a passion for supporting and being ambassadors for the Beef Industry by providing accurate facts and reliable information to consumers (neighbors, friends, etc.) concerning the nutrition of BEEF. The world of Agriculture is in great need of our support and we provide this through Beef Industry promotion. We also help our ranchers in times of dire need, such as droughts, fires, and floods.

Owning cattle is NOT a requirement for membership.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization!
As a non-profit, we join the ranks of state and county livestock shows and rodeos that strive to further the promotion and education of beef to the community. Through generous scholarship awards we support the future of Agriculture via college youth education. Beef producers benefit from our direct donations of quality beef products to local non-profits and our boots-on-the-ground promotion and education programs on beef as a quality nutritional source.
Our 501(c)(3) status allows us to continue to engage and support our community; and it also allows us to accept tax-deductible donations* from you, our generous supporters. We thank everyone who has contributed—your donations will qualify as tax deductible!

How We Came to Be...
In 1983 Mrs. Becky Terry, Texas CattleWomen, Inc. President, and a group of CattleWomen approached the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) management about hosting a State Beef "Cook-Off" at the Livestock Show. Two very successful back-to-back State "Cook-Off" were hosted by the HLSR at the 1984 and 1985 Shows.
After the second "Cook-Off", Peggy Jobes, Lin Adams Johnson and Sandy Scott started talking about forming a local organization in the Houston area. Through the influence and guidance of TCW past President, Becky Terry of Alpine and TCW president, Betty Huggins of Kerrville, they organized Texas Coastal Cattle Women, Inc. in 1986. As a result, these ladies graciously came to Houston to install the officers of the newly local organization, Texas Coastal Cattle Women, Inc..
TCCW is a hardworking group of ladies dedicated to informing consumers of the nutritional value of Beef and the importance of the Beef Industry and its contribution to the economy of the nation. TCCW believes in supporting youth in their education pursuit and continues this cause today.
